The Disturbing Jesus

It’s interesting, don’t you think, that after 2,000 years people still feel a need to attack Jesus? You can see examples of the vehement ridicule of Christ everywhere in our American culture and beyond every day.

Why does Jesus still disturb so? Are they trying to expose him as a fraud? If so, it’s a little late for that.

Are they trying to justify their own sin because his existence makes them feel uncomfortable? If so they need to look inside themselves.

We can’t know the motives behind such attacks, but know this: to attack Jesus is like hitting a nail. The harder you hit it, the deeper you drive it into the wood and the harder it is to pull out. The world had better get used to Jesus because he’s alive and he’s not going away. In fact, the truth is just the opposite. He’s coming again – so hit if you dare.
