The Strength of the Nation

All of us are interested in making our nation as strong and as good as possible. But wherein lies the strength of a nation?

The strength of the nation is first of all in the home. The family is recognized by almost everyone as the basic institution of society. It is the foundation of society. When divorce, unfaithfulness, permissiveness, and materialism dominate our homes the nation is weakened.

The strength of the nation is also in the character of its people. There’s a saying that, “It’s not square acres that make a great country. It is square men.”

Finally, the strength of the nation is in God. The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12).

Are you concerned about the wellbeing of our nation? If so, do your part in these areas to ensure that we have godly homes, sterling character and a firm reliance on God. As long as these are kept alive, our nation will triumph.
